    Allison Stump serves as the Director of the WVU Nursery School, holding both an M.A. in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood focus and a B.A. in Elementary Education from West Virginia University. She brings nine years of public classroom experience and three years of early childhood administration to her role, alongside certifications in Early Childhood, K–6 Education, and Preschool Special Needs instruction. Notably, her expertise in the field led to her being featured in The New York Times for her insights into West Virginia's Universal Pre-K Program.

    Lucky Lucente

    Lead Pre-K Teacher (4/5 year old Class)

    Lucky Lucente is the Lead Pre-K Teacher at the WVU Nursery School and holds an MA in Elementary Education from WVU. With international teaching experience spanning Thailand, Australia, and Italy, she specializes in language development and provides individualized tutoring for students with dyslexia. In addition to mentoring WVU undergraduate students, Lucente champions a play-based, differentiated teaching approach that fosters curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exploration in her classroom.

    3-Year Old Teacher

    Kelsey Castner is a teacher for the 3-year-old program, bringing over three years of educational experience to her classroom. A two-time graduate of West Virginia University, she holds an M.Ed. in Secondary Education with a focus on History, alongside a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science. Additionally, Castner is Special Education Certified, equipping her with valuable skills to support diverse early learning needs and foster an inclusive environment for her young students.
