In the morning, we have continued to practice making safe choices and learning our new routines at school. We have begun working on our play plan. The students enjoy writing or tracing their name and drawing a picture of what they plan to do each day.
We have some new visitors to our bird house outside! The students have been using binoculars to observe birds and search for any clues. They have had amazing predictions of what kinds of birds they think we will see. We will continue to observe and record our observations next week!
The 4-year-old class has been studying dinosaurs and volcanoes for the last 3 weeks. We have read numerous books about dinosaurs, explored the ‘dinosaur museum,’ created fossils, graphed our favorite dinosaur, estimated the dinosaurs in a jar, and create dinosaur and their habitats with a variety of resources.
The big room has been transformed into a Dinosaur Museum. This has provided opportunities for the children to sell tickets to the museum, purchase items in the souvenir shop, and showcased our paleontology knowledge to those visiting the museum.
